Welcome to Japan, fellow travelers!
Today, I want to introduce you to a beloved Japanese snack that you must try during your visit: “Karaage-kun.”
This mouthwatering treat is a must-try for anyone who loves flavorful fried chicken!
What is “Karaage-kun”?

“Karaage-kun” is a popular Japanese snack that consists of bite-sized, boneless pieces of marinated chicken, coated in a special blend of seasonings and flour, then deep-fried to perfection.
The result is tender, juicy, and incredibly crispy fried chicken that will leave you wanting more!
There are roughly five pieces of fried chicken in a palm-sized paper package.
The package comes with a toothpick so you can eat them without getting your hands dirty.

It is a great snack when you are hungry because you can easily eat juicy fried bean curd.

Where to Find “Karaage-kun”
Karaage-kun” can be found at convenience stores ”Lawson” stores throughout Japan.
Karaage-kun is a Lawson original product, so it cannot be found anywhere else but Lawson.
It is highly likely to be found in the fried food section next to the cash register.
Look for the package with the cute “Karaage-kun” character on it.
Karaage-kun is available in a variety of flavors.
The standard flavors that are always sold are,
Regular, Hokkaido Cheese, Red (spicy), and Setouchi Lemon.
There are Sudachi, Ponzu, and many other limited time-only flavors
Some flavors are limited to the local area,
If you are traveling around Japan,
It would be interesting to try each flavor.

I ate Happy Butter flavor.
It is a tribute to the popular flavor of Calbee potato chips.
